Do we really need to assess every batch plant?

Every plant that produces tickets, eventually. The point of a template is that each site is cheap to assess, so the fleet can be covered in a sequence you set by volume rather than skipping the sites that seem too small to matter.

Will you interrupt batching or the scale?

No. The assessment is passive and configuration-based: observation at the plant switch, review of the controller and scale network settings, and a conversation with whoever runs the plant. Nothing is installed on the batch controller.

What do we get at the end?

A fleet-wide OT asset inventory with lifecycle status, a one-page network diagram per site, a list of every remote access path by vendor, and a prioritized set of segmentation actions sized for each plant.

What is specific to aggregates and ready-mix

Small per site, repeated across the fleet.

An integrated cement plant justifies a multi-week assessment. A concrete batch plant does not, and does not need one. The aggregates assessment is a template applied per site in a day or less, producing the same inventory fields everywhere so the fleet can finally be seen as one network.

Four things per site, every site: The batch controller or plant PLC, the scale or weighbridge system, the dispatch and ticketing link, and the office network they share. For each: make, model, firmware, support status, who reaches it remotely, and what separates it from the internet.
Sequenced by volume, not geography: The busiest batch plants and the primary quarry are assessed first, because that is where an outage costs the most tickets. Seasonal and standby plants come last or on reactivation.
Built for acquisitions: The same template becomes the onboarding checklist for the next plant you buy. Within a week of closing, the new site has an inventory that matches the rest of the fleet instead of an integrator's binder from 2014.
