- Sensors sit at the processing plant and major remote facilities, observing mirror-port traffic and holding their own baselines and event history. When the backhaul drops, detection continues and the record is intact when the link returns.
- Bandwidth-frugal by design
- Satellite and microwave links are shared with production and are not cheap. Only events and summaries travel to the central view; full traffic never leaves the site. The link budget for monitoring is agreed in advance with the site.
- Processing plant first, then the pit
- Crushing, grinding, flotation, and thickening run continuously and concentrate the site's controllers. Monitoring starts there, extends to conveyors and pump stations, and reaches pit systems through the wireless infrastructure they already use.
