Most cement and mining operators we assess start between Blind and Aware. This questionnaire places your plant on the same four-stage model the State of OT report uses, and scores each of the five Cement & Mining OT Baseline controls separately, because the baseline is ordered: you cannot segment what you have not mapped, or map what you have not inventoried.

No. It is a self-assessment built from your own answers, so it is guidance about where to look first, not a verified statement about your plant. A stage is verified on site through a Topology Assessment, which inventories the network and maps the topology of record.
The Potenza OT Maturity Model is a four-stage diagnostic of a plant's OT security posture: Blind (no reliable inventory or topology), Aware (documented on paper but not controlled), Controlled (segmentation, governed access, and lifecycle management maintained for priority systems), and Resilient (controls continuous and tested). It was published in the State of OT Security in Cement & Mining 2025 report.
Because the five controls of the Cement & Mining OT Baseline are ordered, and each one depends on the record the previous one creates. A plant can have a well-reviewed firewall and still be Blind if nobody can list what sits behind it. Scoring each control separately shows where the work actually begins.
